July 5, 2020 Update
Hello Breslau family,
We know that many churches are reopening in some capacity. Every church has a unique situation and group of people that attend. Our board has discussed our situation and, based on a number of factors, decided not to reopen until September at the earliest. The board will be discussing how to safely reopen during our mid-summer meeting. If any plans change, we will do our best to let everyone know. Also, if you have any questions, feel free to contact Jeff Cressman (firstname.lastname@example.org).
June 12, 2020 Update
Hello church family,
Our board met this past week and wanted to update you on where we stand in light of government announcements. Despite some restrictions being lifted, we still feel it is not worth risking the safety of any members of our church family by opening the church building to functions. We will continue to keep the building closed for now. Thank you to Pastor Sam for continuing to provide messages and encouragement each week. Also, thank you for continuing to faithfully give to the church.
You are missed, you are loved.

April 3, 2020 Update
Hello BEMC family. The church leadership wants you to know we are keeping a close eye on how the COVID-19 situation is developing. We are continuing to follow the requirements and recommendations put out by our government and our Chief Medical Officer. Our building continues to remain closed for the foreseeable future. When new information becomes available our leadership team will meet to make decisions. For now, stay safe, keep doing your best to social distance and wash your hands, and be quick to pick up the phone or computer and talk with each other. We can support one another even if we are not in the same place.
God is with you. You are loved. And we miss you.

March 24, 2020 Update
In light of Doug Ford's announcement shutting down all non-essential businesses, BEMC is required to keep its doors closed until at least April 6th. This means we will definitely not have a service on April 5th. This also means a decision of whether to reopen does not need to be made until at least Monday, April 6th. More information will be sent out early during the week of the 6th.
Stay safe, keep being diligent with hand washing and social distancing. And above all, keep praying.
March 16, 2020 Update
Dear Breslau EMC Family
We wanted to let everyone know what has been decided in light of the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). Remember that this is a time where prayer, listening to the Holy Spirit and walking closely with God are the things that will let us speak hope into this season of uncertainty. These things will also allow us to make the best decisions and that’s what we, as a leadership team, are trying to do.
At Breslau, your health and safety are very important to us. Our leadership team is staying as informed as we can and trying to follow recommended advice for preventing the further spread of this sickness. Unfortunately, no public environment is 100% safe, despite extra measures. Therefore, the leadership team at Breslau has decided to suspend all ministry activities and Sunday services at the church for the next two weeks. Pastor Sam will still be preparing Sunday morning messages for the congregation. However, they will be shared using the internet. Keep an eye out for emails and updates on the website.
While it is unclear how long this challenge will last, the church leadership team will be re-evaluating our situation here in Ontario on Monday, March 30th. At that time it will be decided whether to reconvene church ministries or not. If it is decided that it is still not safe to meet, more communication will come out to the congregation using email and the website providing as much information as possible. If it is decided that it is safe to meet again, Palm Sunday (April 5) would be the first meeting back for the congregation. Then, regular ministries would start up after that during the week of April 6th to 11th.
We do know that God is faithful and that He is with us. As a Church family, let's continue in prayer and hold fast to our trust in God. Let's pray for the people being immediately affected, pray that God will bring about solutions, and let's pray for those making decisions on a global scale.
Don’t forget that we are known and loved by God!
Pastor Sam and the BEMC leadership team.
