Though people go to church for many different reasons, they generally stay for only
one reason - relationships.
A Small Group is about meeting together regularly with
others for encouragement as you grow in your relationship with God. It's a safe place
to ask questions, build friendships, and experience mutual care and support.
In a
small group, you have the opportunity to not only be loved and accepted, but to develop
friendships with others who are discovering what it means to follow Jesus!
What is a Small Group?
A small group is typically made up of six to twelve people
who meet regularly during the week to share about their lives, support one another,
and study Biblical truths. Each group has a Host and a Leader (this may be the same
person). Groups meet in a different locations around Breslau and Kitchener-Waterloo,
typically they meet in homes. Not every group meets weekly-some. Usually our groups
meet in the evening. Currently, you can choose from Women's, Men's groups.
What do
Small Groups do?
This can vary from group to group, but most groups have a time of
fellowship, prayer, Bible or book study, discussion, and life application. Not all
groups study the same thing; some read and study a Christian book together, and others
go through a book in the Bible.
We also encourage our small groups to serve the community
together. It's amazing what God can do through a group of people as they use their
skills, gifts and resources to help those in need.
How do I get involved in a Small
Group?
It is easy, speak with Pastor Todd or e-mail tbrown@bemc.ca
